The Healing Process

27 Sep

Three steps forward and two steps back, healing is not a linear process. However, this time around after my fall two years ago, things seem to be going better. I’m walking with less of a limp, gaining flexibility and in less pain.

September 16 was the 32nd anniversary of the day Lisa and I met. We took a drive to my friend’s retreat in the country. Lotus Bend is a beautiful center where we listened to birds, walked the labyrinth and talked to the koi.

A great old funky Texas county house.
Koi expecting to be fed.
The bees that produce amazing honey.
Lots of little sacred coves.

It was a treat to get out of Austin where we could hear the birds, away from suburban lawn mowers, delivery trucks and traffic. Can you tell that we miss our haven in Bacalar?

These are beautiful pictures Alex! Glad to hear progress is being made. Love the mantis. I used to have so many when I lived in Vienna. There were large patches of ornamental grass next to the house that were a good nest location for them. Love and hugs to you both.

Have a safe trip back – and love to you both. Just so you know: Kathy Clifford, Ginny’s niece, has “sold” our property -we had no idea and have been shocked and angered by this. We have a very good lawyer representing us and we have a case against her – including armed guards at our property. There could be a showdown at the end of this month as she thinks she gave us “30 days to get out” – and in her mind, that time is almost up. We are proving (in the process of proving) that she sold our property illegally – so there is huge contention. I will keep you posted as best…

So happy you are healing Alex! With love, Lorrie
