Our family has been whittled down to four siblings, myself and three brothers. We are spread about and with the added delight of Covid, haven’t seen each other in six years. We will gather in a weeks time in Florida to reminisce, eat, swim, share, hangout and pass our family lore on to the next generation. I’m looking forward to it.
There is something about siblings. We have fought, resented, silenced, made up and reconnected as adults. I think we’ve finally made our peace and there should be no food fights.
So we’ll be packing up and making the trek to the US. House sitters arrive on Wednesday. Wish us safe travels.

Enjoy your reunion! As children, we often fought like crazy, but as adults, my only brother and I are the best of friends and confidants. No one else experienced the same childhood as we did, and that makes certain stories, expressions, and jokes between us so special because they are ours alone. I can’t imagine living without him!

My oldest brother just turned 79. He’s in good health but it’s hard not to think, when will be the last….

My eldest brother is 71. We fell out, like you do, a while back and I wonder if we’ll ever be able to get past it. We’ll see 😦

Oh, you will enjoy this so much! I’m fortunate to see my sister once a year which isn’t nearly enough. I am in southeastern Arizona and she is in Louisville, Kentucky. I was there last spring and this spring I hope to be out there again.
