OK I Quit!

4 Jan

All this week I’ve been waiting for that still small voice that tells me what this week’s blog will be. My muse is clearly on vacation. When I started blogging in 2013, I told myself that if it’s no longer fun, I will quit. This week it wasn’t fun. I tossed in my sleep, came up with multiple ideas and threw them out, and yes stressed about it! Then I decided to repost an older blog, and even that process was more than I could deal with, even though I’ve done it before. No, I’m not shutting down the blog, just taking a break. Happy New Year.

Time for a trim.

Time for a haircut.

I hope your transition into 2015 was what you hoped for. I have two announcements. Our friend Kathe is selling a lovely home not far from here:

Another friend Carolyn is selling a wonderful business:

If you ever thought of a life away, here are two opportunities. A few more pictures for your pleasure. You can also find us on Instagram at dos_tortas.

I’m sorry that your muse has taken a hike…and I was waiting for today’s blog to share it on Facebook. I think I’ll wait until you are re inspired. Thank you for posting the link to my house ad…I appreciate it.

I hope you and Lisa have the year you dream of in 2015.

Thanks Sweetie. I’m learning that if its NOT fun don’t do it! An entirely different way to live. I was raised with shoulds and have to’s. No more.

You know 2014 was so stressful for us all. I almost died and so did the dog. But we survived to once again give you a response! Building in Mexico can be stressful. It did blow my head. Nothing is how we expect it to be. Manana simply means not today. We wait and wait for things to be done. Lesson…live the moment and quit waiting. Just be. Smell the jungle, look at your lagoon and be with friends and love!

Oh man, I just found your blog, and you’re quitting? Well, maybe not forever. I too have needed and taken blogging breaks from time to time. When it gets to be un-fun, then a break is certainly justified. Loved seeing your first photo as my husband and I have Bike Fridays too! His is blue like yours. Great bikes! We had the opportunity to visit the factory and showroom in Eugene this past year and really enjoyed it. Happy New Year!
